Welcome to art by Jo

I’m Jo, predominantly a self taught artist living here on the beautiful Hampshire coast with my family. Up until recently, my art has been a long established hobby, mindful practice after work, attending workshops and classes to pick up new techniques from other artists who have become firm friends. In 2021 I completed my Foundation Art and Design with Distinction.

I work mostly in graphite pencil, specialising in portraiture, but also following a passion of motorbikes, sports cars and wildlife, sometimes combining coloured pencil if the subject lends itself. I also use other mediums in Art Therapies such as clay, watercolour, pen and ink.
